Koro. Series of three. 100x60cm frames.
In the series “Koro (Chinese; noun); The hysterical conviction that one’s penis is retracting and will disappear.” I used the curiosity for the material and form but made the works more corporeal and repulsive. I used the frame as an object referring to painting but made the shapes reject it as an attempt to escape the medium.
A collection of stuffed moments. Series of three. 30x18cm.
In the series “A collection of stuffed moments” I made abstract simple shapes that refer to the human body. By using small rounded frames, soft materials and fabrics the work becomes attractive. After seeing the three abstract shapes a connection can be made and the works become less innocent.
